The 52 Project: 47/52

'A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week in 2015.'

Dear Ruby,
You have had the privilege of spending lots of time with your paternal grandparents this week, and you spent your first night away from me and Daddy this weekend, at Granny and Grandad's house. Daddy and I had a wedding to travel to, and we knew that you would have much more fun with Granny and Grandad by the sea than you would have had at the wedding. It was such a treat to have an entire night of uninterrupted sleep, and thankfully, you were fairly kind on your grandparents, only waking them at 11.30pm instead of the usual 1am / 3am that Daddy and I have become accustomed to. Feel free to carry on in that kind vein now that we are back home - I wouldn't mind one bit!

These days, you talk a lot about the moon and the stars, now that they are shining beautifully from 4.45pm. Sometimes you like to pop out into the garden first thing in the morning to check if there are any stars still shining, and you also like to comment on the lack of fireworks there have been since Bonfire Night on 5th November. It's a privilege to have an insight into your observations of the world around you - thank you for sharing with us, little one. We love you.

All my love,
Mummy xxx
